1. Safety

      a.       Ensures those who receive healthcare services are treated with respect and understanding

2. Timeliness

    a.       Providing health services as soon as possible as delays in treatment can have serious consequences

3. Effectiveness

    a. How well did the healthcare system achieve the intended purpose?

4. Efficiency

    A measure of how well an organization uses resources to produce results

5. Equity

    According to the World Health Organization, equity is defined as "an absence of systematic differences between groups of individuals within a population based on socially determined characteristics" (Harrison, et. al, 2021)

6. Patient-centeredness

    a. Healthcare system works in conjunction with patients to identify their needs and ensure patients and family members are involved in the plan of care
